The Magician
Gwydion
Raw force disciplined into a channel narrow enough to actually do something.

Upright
You have every element you need already on the table. The work now is concentration — choosing one aim and refusing to dilute it. What you can articulate clearly, you can bring into being.
Reversed
Not used in Raynebow readings - reversals are off in the product. Shown here for reference.
Power used to impress rather than to build. Scattered effort, or persuasion that has slid into manipulation. Gwydion's magic was also deceit; the same skill cuts both ways.

The Welsh story
Gwydion, magician of Gwynedd and nephew of Math, is the great shaper of the Fourth Branch. He raised armies out of trees at Cad Goddeu, conjured horses and hounds from mushrooms and seaweed, and with Math made a woman entirely out of oak, broom and meadowsweet. He is craft rather than sorcery: the will that finds the exact form for its intention.
